Following a woman’s slip and fall outside of a church, which resulted in a crushed knee, attorney Bruce A. Glotzer, of Glotzer & Kobren, contacted DK Global just two weeks before trial for help in demonstrating the woman’s partial knee replacement surgery. The team used the operative report to produce a comprehensive Medical Animation that detailed each step of the MAKOplasty, a cutting edge medical procedure that uses a robotic arm to resurface parts of the knee. The animation, which was played during trial, effectively assisted the treating physician in explaining the complex procedure to the jury, who returned a 2.585 million dollar verdict for the plaintiff.

Through a systematic production process that includes fact assessment, careful review of operative reports, scripts, storyboards and both client and expert approval, the video below boasts detailed 3D modeled anatomy of the knee and robotic arm in order to orient the viewer to a partial knee replacement surgery.
