A Miami, Florida college was paid a $26.5 million settlement and a $7 million contract balance forgiven in a claim against the contractors and subcontractors hired to build the College's west side parking garage that collapsed in October of 2012. Attorneys Stuart Sobel, Steven M. Siegfried and B. Michael Clark of Siegfried, Rivera, Hyman, Lerner, De La Torre, Mars & Sobel, who specialize in construction litigation, contacted DK Global to create a comprehensive presentation that would pinpoint the weakness of the structure responsible for the collapse that killed four people and injured seven others. Michael Caldwell created a detailed project scope for the presentation that included photos, custom graphics and a “CAD Style” model of the parking structure strategically integrated with animation to depict the collapse.

The team at DK Global produced a detailed presentation that highlighted the points of weakness that jeopardized the structure's integrity. The presentation, used during mediation, displays complex information through straight-forward and comprehensible text and graphics which identified the lack of proper grouting in the base of the columns that led to the collapse.
