A 15 year-old male fell out of the bed of a moving truck and suffered multiple fractures to his skull and severe injuries to his brain, including coup-contracoup, subarachnoid hemorrhages in the parietal and temporal region, hematoma and pneumocephalus. He later developed severe cognitive and behavioral problems. Texas personal injury attorney, Mark Wilson, P.C. of the Smith Wilson Law Firm, represented the family of the young man. Mark Wilson, who has successfully represented clients in civil litigation matters for over 25 years, contacted DK Global for assistance in visually demonstrating the injuries and dramatic changes that occurred in his client’s brain. Michael Caldwell, Visual Consultant, created a scope for the damages presentation that would include a 3D animation, custom 3D character model with character likeness, colorized medical imagery, and photos of the plaintiff.

The team at DK Global produced a comprehensive presentation that dynamically illustrates the stages of trauma to the plaintiff’s brain and subsequent physical, mental and behavioral problems that dramatically affected the young man and his family. The presentation proved to be a successful tool for attorney Wilson in relaying how the incident affected the plaintiff’s quality of life when he obtained a settlement for his client in excess of 2.8 million dollars, which was 50-75% higher than offers made prior to the viewing of the animation. Attorney Wilson was confident that the use of the demonstrative presentation in conjunction with the expert's testimony attested to the significantly higher settlement amount he obtained on behalf of his client.
