An elderly man suffered multiple ankle fractures when he tripped over a loose piece of carpeting and fell down several stairs. The injured plaintiff sued the venue in a premises liability case to recover the expense of medical bills and pain and suffering. Through extensive review of all pertinent medical reports and radiology images, the production team at DK Global compiled a duo of explanatory Medical Illustrations that displayed the right ankle avulsion fracture of the lateral malleolus, the fibula spiral fracture of the left ankle, in a pre-operative and post-operative view. The unique combination of 2D and 3D modeled anatomical elements adjacent to the plaintiff's actual medical imagery, offers a clear and straightforward representation of injuries that could have been avoided. The illustrations were extremely effective and assisted Attorney Prentice in obtaining a $350,000 settlement for his client.
