We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accident Reconstructionist to join our in-office team. This newly established role will support our creative department by conducting thorough documentation reviews, analyzing crash site data, interpreting physical evidence, and leveraging advanced technologies to develop desktop reviews that inform our visual work. In addition, this position will collaborate closely with project managers and visual consultants to define project scopes, effectively communicate technical insights to clients, and ensure quality and accuracy throughout each stage of the production process.
Accident Reconstruction Specialist Responsibilities & Duties:
Analyze physical evidence from the accident scene, including skid marks, vehicle damage, and road conditions.
Review witness statements and other testimonial evidence.
Utilize computer simulations to model accident scenarios and dynamics (FARO).
Prepare detailed desktop reviews that outline findings and conclusions.
Collaborate with other experts and legal teams to support DK visualizations.
Examine vehicle components to identify mechanical failures or defects.
Determine the speed of vehicles involved based on evidence.
Reconstruct the sequence of events leading to the accident.
Conduct field investigations and site visits to gather additional data.
Use photogrammetry and other technologies to create accurate representations of the accident scene.
Evaluate human factors, such as driver behavior and reaction times, influencing the accident.
Stay updated with the latest advances in accident reconstruction techniques and technology.
Accident Reconstruction Specialist Qualifications & Skills:
Certified in Accident Reconstruction by a recognized professional body (ACTAR).
Experience with accident reconstruction software such as PC-Crash and FARO.
Background in engineering, physics, law enforcement or a related field.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Prior experience in law enforcement or forensic science
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigations.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in using various measurements and data collection tools.
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics and mechanical systems.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, forensic science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accident investigation or reconstruction.
Proven ability to analyze complex data and draw conclusions.
Strong technical skills in computer-aided reconstruction methods.
Familiarity with legal procedures and the ability to provide expert testimony.
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
Ability to travel to accident sites for on-scene investigations.
Valid driver's license.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Compensation: $65,000 - $102,000 per year, plus bonus.
