Communications Manager

DK Global is the country’s premiere litigation visuals firm. We specialize in 3D animated visual presentations for attorneys to use in demand packages, mediations, and trials. Through the creative process, we are the silent partner in putting broken lives and shattered dreams back together — one frame at a time. We are looking for an endlessly curious Communications Manager with an analytical and creative mindset to join the marketing department in our shared vision to make a positive difference in the lives of those seeking justice. This is an on-site position that will work at DK Global headquarters in Redlands, CA.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Communications Manager role is responsible for copywriting, copy editing, content management, social media, public relations, and event promotion. You will remain knowledgeable about DK Global’s customer base and competition. Ultimately, your goal is to help amplify the company’s brand identity and message.

The successful Communications Manager is an enthusiastic storyteller. You have impeccable writing and grammar (our target audience reads for a living). You’re equally comfortable collaborating as a team and taking things on solo. And you take ownership and pride in your work, focusing on the outcomes you produce over simply completing tasks on a list. Does that sound like you? If so, read on!

The Communications Manager’s responsibilities primarily fall into three buckets: copywriting & editing, social media & community management, and public relations & promotions.

Copywriting & Editing

  • Write compelling articles for email and content marketing campaigns.
  • Create social media post content aligning with our content calendar.
  • Develop authentic and consistent messaging and strategic content for multiple external media outlets.

  • Edit the DK Global website content as necessary to optimize SEO and ensure we are always properly communicating our value to target customers.
  • Review, proofread, and help edit written assets.

Social Media & Community Management

  • Help develop DK Global’s online and offline social communities by maintaining promotional plans and online conversations.
  • Monitor the company’s online presence, including social media, email campaigns, mail merges, e-blasts, case features, and webinar participation to ensure that all online presence remains in line with the company’s brand and identity.
  • Assist with production and distribution of multimedia content, including emails, podcasts, and direct mail.

Public Relations & Promotions

  • Create email and social media content to promote DK Global’s attendance at tradeshows and events.
  • Draft media pitches for earned media coverage.
  • Write articles for third-party websites to help with SEO.
  • Help create promotional materials (i.e., swag, rack cards, one-sheets, etc.) by ensuring text and visuals are properly presented.

You’ll have other tasks as assigned, including assisting with the creation and management of long-term marketing plans, as well as collaborating with managers to identify trends and evaluate marketing effectiveness. As a small business, wear many hats.

  • 5-7 years experience in marketing, communications, public relations, publishing, and/or media production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, communications, public relations, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and engagement.
  • Exhibits conceptual knowledge of company identity, mission, and goals.
  • An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
