WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

As a Lead Generalist you are highly creative, can multi-task, and work well with production deadlines. You must have strong Modeling, Animation, Rigging, and Lighting skills, and be versed in current rendering technology. You will create a wide variety of Models for Architecture, Characters, Props, Vehicles, and General Organic elements for the type of Medical Illustrations and Accident Reconstructions that our firm is known for. You must thrive on working together with a small team where every member is involved throughout the production process. We believe that a small, focused, and dedicated team of talented people can create amazing work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modelhighquality3Dcharacters,environments, damages, andpropsthat complementtheart direction and style desired by the client, as well as model assets from scan data.
• Create custom riggs for non-human assets.
• Create and animate particle systems.
• Create storyboards.
• Create scene lighting and render with Vray as well as create and manage render passes and priorities.
• Createdetailed,accurateanimationsofcharactersforourscenes.
• Composite custom graphics.
• Composite, animate, and edit medical surgeries and damages, mechanisms, and reconstructions.
• Composite and edit timelines and documentaries.
• Incorporate 3DS max physics systems.
• Paint damages using Substance Painter.
• Participates as a team member in determining various aesthetic solutions.
• Take lead on projects, as well as direct, guide, and help troubleshoot.
• Create workflow documentation.
• Participate in scrub and close out procedure.
• Oversee space in drives.
• Workwithartiststoplan,layoutandexecutethevision.
• Review Junior and Associate Artists’ work.
• Train, mentor, and supervise the work of entry, mid and mid high-level artists at the discretion of the Senior Project Manager.
• Lead training sessions.
• Attend interview process and administer assessment tests for potential new artists.
• Attend manager meetings when necessary.
• Artistsmustbeabletoworkindependentlyorinsmallgroupstotrouble-shootandprovide solutions to production issues related to asset creation and world building.
• Abilitytoworkinobservanceoftheprojectbudgetandschedule,whileremainingcapableof adapting to shifting priorities.
• Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
• CollaboratewithProjectManagersandfellowAnimatorstomaintainanefficientand successful production process.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA,BFAoranequivalentprofessionalcertification.
• 5-7yearsofexperiencewith3DSMaxasaGeneralist.
• MustbeproficientatusingAdobeproducts.(i.e.,Photoshop,AfterEffects,PremierePro).
• Proficient in Rail Clone and Forest Pack.
• Abilitytoworkwellunderpressure.
• Mustrespondwelltocriticismandfeedback.
• Must possess experience presenting creative to clients in a way they can easily understand.
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, have a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work well with others.
• Excellentcommunication,interpersonalandorganizational skills.
• Self-motivatedindividualwithawillingnesstocontinuetolearn.

Job Type: Full-time (not a remote position)

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Compensation Range: $45 to $63 per hour.
