Summer festivities halted for one teen who sustained a quadriplegic-rendering injury on a slip and slide. The Plaintiff suffered cervical spine injuries after his head impacted the ground due to the host's negligence in choosing a proper location for the event. Rather than having the event on a completely flat surface as is typically the case, the game was set up on a hill creating an uneven and unsafe slide for the participants.
