According to the Center for Disease Control, a “Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is caused by a bump, blow or jolt to the head, or a penetrating head injury that disrupts the normal function of the brain”. The leading causes of TBI’s are falls, unintentional blunt trauma, and motor vehicle crashes. TBI’s account for 30% of all injury related deaths in the United States. The severity of cases range from mild, (i.e. brief change in mental status) to severe (i.e. memory loss) in nature and can be complex and difficult to explain, without detailed and strategically produced visuals. Our team of production managers and animators work with our clients and their experts to ensure accuracy, offering a clear and compelling explanation of the injuries and the long term physical, emotional, and cognitive damages.

Through in-depth research of facts and also through consulting with medical experts to verify and analyze medical records and imagery, our animators use detailed analysis to accurately reconstruct the incident, damages, and any medical procedures required. The video below demonstrates the many techniques that can be used to illustrate a TBI, including: Reconstruction Animation, Medical Animation, Colorized Medical Imagery, and Surgical Procedures.
