Semi-truck Collision Causes Serious Spinal Injuries
Visuals Prove instrumental in Resolving Case with Pre-existing Spine Conditions

A woman sustained serious injuries after being involved in a collision where a semi-truck unexpectedly careened into her vehicle. Upon impact, the plaintiff experienced loss of consciousness and sustained several broken ribs. Following the impact, the victim experienced substantial neck, back, and left leg pain, causing her to agonize through the recovery process as she found it difficult to complete once routine tasks.

The plaintiff and her attorney sought the services of DK Global to assist in the litigation process as they worked to prove that the injuries sustained were not only catastrophic in nature but also exacerbated previously acquired ailments. Though the injuries sustained by the victim were substantial, it was argued by the defense that the neck, leg, and back injuries were pre-existing conditions and were in no way related to the collision. DK Global poured through incident reports, medical records, and anatomical imagery to ensure that a detailed and accurate portrayal of the injuries sustained by the plaintiff was properly conveyed. Likewise, DK’s production team worked vigorously to effectively communicate the continued discomfort experienced by the plaintiff as she struggled to recover from her startling injuries. The animations produced were concise and proved to effectively communicate to the jury the impact the collision had on the victim’s quality of life and how the collision, due to the truck driver’s negligence, augmented the pain and discomfort of her previous conditions.
