Collision Caused by Box Truck’s Failure to Brake in Time

Visual Recreation Helps to Establish Liability

Attorneys Walter Clark and Jessica Albert of Walter Clark Legal Group secured a $400,000 settlement for a client who was rear-ended by a box truck at a traffic light. The Defendant was unable to break in time after his foot became entangled in an unsecured seat belt. He rear-ended the plaintiff's vehicle causing the 41-year-old to suffer a coup-contrecoup and multiple injuries down his spine when he was hit and propelled forward by the truck. Attorney Albert reached out to DK Global for visuals that would recreate the incident and show her client’s injuries.

Our team used expert measurements to reconstruct the incident and ensure the accuracy of the distances and speeds portrayed. Different viewpoints helped to illustrate how the Defendant was unable to break in time, the distance that the Plaintiff’s car was pushed, and the resulting injuries along the Plaintiff’s cervical and lumbar spine.

Jessica Albert graduated cum laude with her J.D. in 2006 from the University of La Verne College of Law, where she was president of the Student Bar Association. She also received the school’s Student of Distinction Award and its Pro Publico Award for community service. She is now an associate for Walter Clark Legal Group, which has been handling a variety of personal injury cases throughout the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities for over 30 years.
