Woman Dies Due to Nursing Home Negligence
Suffers from Bed Sores & Severe Weight Loss

According to the Nursing Home Abuse Guide, more than two million cases of elder abuse are reported every year, and almost one out of every ten elderly individuals will experience some form of elder abuse. At nursing homes, between 50-75% of residents fall each year. Additionally, 11% of nursing home residents develop bedsores with a limited number of them receiving special wound care. Unfortunately, these statistics shows that nursing home negligence is widespread, and frequently requires legal action.

A personal injury attorney was confronted with such nursing care negligence when he represented an elderly woman that suffered from rapid weight loss, bedsores, dehydration, low blood pressure and multiple falls while under the care of a nursing home. The attorney contacted DK Global just weeks before trial was scheduled to create a presentation that would display the progression of health issues the woman experienced as a result of the habitual breaches in the standard of care. DK Global produced a detailed presentation which included photos, custom graphics and 3D modeling in order to seamlessly relay the nursing facility’s pattern of negligence. The attorney was successful in obtaining a favorable settlement for his client just before trial.
