A man suffered an extensive rotator cuff injury when a driver ran a red light and collided with his pickup truck. DK Global was solicited to create an animation highlighting the critical surgical repair process in order to convey the seriousness of the injury as a result of the incident that was required to alleviate the plaintiff’s pain and suffering. The production staff at DK Global created an accurate and compelling Surgical Animation that demonstrated the technical components necessary to repair a torn labrum. Such animations are especially useful in a trial or mediation setting because of their ability to convey the invasive nature of vital surgical procedures, which assists the viewer in calculating a fair and just damages award.

The video below uses detailed anatomical modeling and correct surgical techniques to demonstrate the repair of a Glenoid Labrum tear and the fraying of the Long Head Biceps Tendon as it connects to the shoulder girdle. The animation demonstrates how frayed tissue is debrided, and then shows how surgical hardware is inserted into the body to aid in restoration of the shoulder ligament.
