76-Year-Old Woman Suffers Broken Humerus
Hospital's Failure to Maintain Elevator Results In Serious Injury

A substantial settlement has been reached on behalf of a woman who sustained a broken humerus due to hospital negligence. The Plaintiff was leaving a doctor's appointment when she attempted to board an elevator. The elevator floor was approximately one foot lower than where it should have been, and the Plaintiff fell forward into the elevator and onto her shoulder. Immediately, she suffered a painful break to her humerus that required surgery to install hardware.

With less than two weeks until his settlement conference, the attorney contacted DK Global to produce a reconstruction animation with medical damages, detailing how the hospital's failure to properly maintain the elevator led to the injury sustained by the Plaintiff. To reach the quick deadline, the DK Global team worked overtime to pour through scene photos, incident reports and witness accounts, medical documentation and radiology images. In under one week, the representing attorney had a draft of a comprehensive presentation that featured interview footage of the Plaintiff, animation, and custom graphics superimposed over radiology images. With the animation in hand, the Plaintiff’s attorney and his supporting attorneys were able to reach a significant settlement with the medical center and the elevator maintenance company.
